Last night (Monday 8th June), the new Tory administration failed to turn up at the S.Glos. Public Transport Forum. This left the Managing Director of First Bus along with other Public Transport operators, members of the public and Council Officers waiting for half an hour while it was established that nobody was coming to chair the Forum and it had to be abandoned.

Cllr. Pat Hockey, Lib Dem Lead Member for PTSE said “It was very embarrassing. Under the new regime I was not allowed to step in. All we could do was offer to listen to anything anybody wished to draw to the Council’s attention.”

After the elections in May, the Tory party took full control of the authority, including demanding that only they chair any meetings.
